Liz, we had a superlative time. The golf was wonderful, we only had 9 holes of rain (at Royal Dornoch). We did have three days where I was able to (not too successfully) teach the guys how to play in the wind!!!
Al, Dave and Dick got to play the Old Course. We went down to the starter early on Wednesday and they were lucky to get on as walk-ons later in the morning. I let them go first in the hope that I would get on too but had no luck.
Dick had a hole in one at Kingsbarns, his first, so, we had to celebrate there and he will have to fork out some more refreshments on Saturday at our weekly get together at our home club.
Accommodations were great. Your man Bob was superb. He met us on arrival at Glasgow airport, helped us pick-up the car rental and even guided us to the front door of our hotel that first night.
